EDNA P. THOMPSON

Edna Palmer Thompson, 85, died Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 17, 1997, in Sentara Nursing Center.

She was a native of Pasquotank County and was the daughter of the late Henry Clay and Mary Elizabeth Reid Palmer. She was a member of the Jarvisburg Church of Christ and the Rebecca Lodge No. 13 of Norfolk.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by a daughter, Garnet Harper of Wendell, N.C.; two sons, Paul Glenn Miller of Chesapeake, William Frazier Miller of Moyock; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Highland Park Cemetery by Pastor Dennis Crehan. The family will receive friends and relatives in Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
