Mavourlean T. Coats, 75, of the 2500 block of Mayon Drive died Sept. 17, 1997.
Born in Camden County, N.C., she was a Baptist and a member of the Chesapeake Senior Citizens. She was the widow of Julius J. Coats.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Coats Nobles of Chesapeake, Gloria Coats Faircloth of Franklin; a son, Glen D. Coats of Norfolk; a sister, Betty Greene of North Kingston, R.I.; a brother, Charlie Harper of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Shirley Deardorff, Steven Lee, Britney Faircloth and Haley Faircloth.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Tom Jammes. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
