Nancy Mildred Culbreth Edge, 81, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 1997, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Edge was a native of Fayetteville, N.C., the daughter of the late Mac and Mary Copa Culbreth. She was a resident of Wilson, N.C., for 36 years and a member of the Five Point Missionary Baptist Church, Wilson. She was the widow of Grover B. Edge Sr. and grandmother of the late Greg Edge.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley E. Williams and her husband, the Rev. Kenneth Williams, of Newsoms, Faye E. Allen and her husband, the late Freeman Allen, of Wilson; two sons, Grover ``Charlie'' B. Edge Jr. and his wife, Peggy Edge, of Courtland, Kenneth B. Edge and his wife, Kay Edge, of Red Oak, N.C.; four sisters, Irene C. Sowers of Philadelphia, Clara C. Baker, Louise C. Bergeron, Juanita C. Musslewhite, all of Fayetteville, N.C.; a brother, Samuel Culbreth of Fayetteville; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Suggs Grove Baptist Church, White Oak, N.C., by the Rev. David Rutland. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to the service at the church.
