Robert Linwood ``Bob'' Fowler, 61, died Sept. 17, 1997 in DePaul Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Baltimore, Md. and was a Catholic. He was employed by H.B. Hunter and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 327. He retired from the U.S. Marines after 20 years as a master gunny sergeant. He served during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Dora P. Fowler; two sons, Robert L. Fowler Jr. and his wife, Karen of Baltimore, Md., Raymond A. Fowler and his wife, Lupita of Virginia Beach; a sister, Irma V. Fowler of Baltimore, Md.; a brother, Marion F. Fowler and his wife, Phyllis of Baltimore; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. Burial will be with full military honors. The family will receive friends at Woodlawn Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
