L. Earnest ``Bubba'' Christian Sr. of the 3300 block of Head of River Road, died Sept. 16, 1997. He was a member of New Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marion J. Christian; a daughter, Charlene Lindsey of Virginia Beach; a son, L. Ernest Christian Jr. of Virginia Beach; seven sisters, Beatrice Foreman, Alecia Spence, and Doris Riddick, all of Virginia Beach, Mary Lamb of Chesapeake, Mamie Christian, Maxine Christian, Arlie Bell Raines, all of Hampton; a brother, James Christian of New York; 10 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in New Oak Grove Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Anderson Foreman. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
