DOUGLAS C. GRIGGS

Douglas Cross Griggs, 39, of the 3500 block of Robs Drive, died Sept. 18, 1997.

A native of Suffolk, he was the son of Nephie Cross Griggs of Suffolk and the late Garnett Yates Griggs. Mr. Griggs was a member of Suffolk Christian Church and was the assistant director of Toys R Us at the Military Circle store.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Mildred Cross of Suffolk; aunts, Barbara Griggs of Suffolk, Eloise Maciejewski of Brunswick, Maine, Kitty Cottle Patran of Disputanta and his cousins.

Graveside services were conducted Saturday in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Michael D. Halley. The family will be at his home. Memorial donations may be made to Suffolk Christian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1457, Suffolk, Va. 23439. R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
