Willie O. ``Banks'' Carney, 66, of the 3900 block of Port Road, died Sept. 17, 1997, in Maryview Medical Center.
Born in Norfolk County, he was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Union Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include an aunt, Rozelia Carney and uncle, Robert McCoy, both of Chesapeake; and a host of cousins and friends.
A funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Union Bethel Baptist Church, Chesapeake. Burial will be in Union Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon today. The body will be taken to the church at 1:30 p.m. Monday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
