Floyd Clark III, 45, of 2967 Sunset Lane died Sept. 16, 1997, in George Washington University Hospital, Washington, D.C.
Born in Portsmouth, he had worked as a computer system analyst for two years for Orkand Corporation and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was member of Full Gospel A.M.E. Zion Church, Temple Hills, Md., and a former member of New Bethel Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy F. Clark of Suitland, Md.; a son, Floyd Clark IV of Norfolk; his parents, Katie O. Clark and Floyd Clark Jr., both of Portsmouth; a sister, Daryl O. Clark of Portsmouth; a brother, Blaine Clark of New Carrollton, Md.; a grandchild, Tavion Clark of Norfolk; and a host of aunts, uncles, a niece, a nephew, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in New Bethel Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by Bishop J.M. Whitaker. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake, with military honors.
Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon today. The family will be at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Clark Jr., 205 Bunch Blvd., Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the funeral procession to the church.
