Nikki Caravas, 57, of Lafayette Towers, died Sept. 19, 1997, in a local hospital.
A native of Athens, Greece, Mrs. Caravas was employed with Gene Walters Market Place on 21st Street in Norfolk. She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Norfolk.
She is survived by her mother, Demetra Dremonis of Norfolk; a daughter Denise Kowalski of Chesapeake; two sons, Andy Caravas of Virginia Beach, Michael Caravas of San Francisco, Calif., a sister Bessie Sergides of Sedley, Va.; and three grandchildren, Alyssa, Brandon and Tyler Kowalski.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Norfolk. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. A trisagion service will be held at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel at 7:30 p.m. today.
