Sarah Gray Williams, 86, died Friday, Sept. 19, 1997, at a Chesapeake nursing facility.

Mrs. Williams was born in Buxton, N.C., was a homemaker and a member of the Buxton United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Hawkins Gray and the late Melissa Farrow Gray and the wife of the late William E. Williams.

She is survived by a daughter, Alice Etz of Cape Charles; three sons, Ike J. Williams of Buxton, Ennis Williams and Shelton Williams, both of Portsmouth; 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Buxton United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jim Huskins. Burial will follow in the Quidley Cemetery, Buxton. The body will be placed in the Hatteras Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon. Twiford's Island Chapel, Hatteras, is in charge of arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
