ALBERT J. FOSTER SR.

Albert Joseph Foster Sr., 66, of the 700 block of Edinburg Ave., died Sept. 18, 1997.

He had retired as a mail carrier after 20 years of service with the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Foster attended Morehouse University in Atlanta and served in the Korean War. He was a member of New Mount Zion Church of God Holiness.

Survivors include his wife, Eulalia P. Foster; five daughters, Angelia L. Foster of Lorton, Va., Sherrie F. Withrow of Chesapeake, Margaret D. Foster of Washington, D.C., Dorinda A. Foster of Capitol Heights, Md., and Tanya Y. Foster of Chesapeake; three sons, Albert J. Foster Jr. of Gloucester, Cedric M. Foster and Breon E. Foster, both of Chesapeake; three sisters, Mildred Webster and Beatrice Wright, both of Chesapeake, Eunice Johnson of Lanham, Md.; a brother, Robert C. Foster Jr. of Williamsburg; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in New Mt. Zion Church of God Holiness, 1042 Philpotts Road, Norfolk, by the Rev. Clayton Hall and Rev. Herman Word. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today in Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. ILLUSTRATION: Photo KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
