Ethel Smith, 87, of White Marsh Road died Sept. 17, 1997, in her home.
A native of New York, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Wilson and the late Chrystal Bain Wilson. She was the widow of Willie Smith. Mrs. Smith had retired from Service Associates, New York Motel, and was a member of Missouri Baptist Church, Suffolk, and was a missionary.
Survivors include her son, Stuart Ricks of Suffolk; a daughter-in-law, Frances Ricks of Jamacia, N.Y.; three sisters, Chrystal Haskins of Brooklyn, N.Y., Martha Ann Palmer of Jamacia, N.Y., Mary Wilkins of Suffolk; a brother, Willie Wilson of Brooklyn; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Missouri Baptist Church, Suffolk, by the Rev. Ronnie Boone. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Crocker Funeral Home is in charge of services. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
