Josephine Norton Watts, 76, of the 5400 block of Tidewater Drive, died Sept. 21, 1997, in Virginia Beach.

She was born in Cumberland County, N.C., and was the widow of Herbert Dale Watts Sr. She was a seamstress and a member of Parkway Temple on Volvo Parkway in Chesapeake. She was a beloved and cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include a daughter, Faye Watts Leggett of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three sons, Herbert Dale Watts Jr. of Venus, Texas, Thomas G. Watts of McAlester, Okla., and Charles De-Von Watts of Butler, Pa.; a brother, David Norton of Virginia Beach; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Parkway Temple by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood and the Rev. James Leggett. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
