Walter E. Scarbeck, 66, of the 3200 block of Grumman Square, died Sept. 21, 1997.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a retired heating and air conditioning engineer. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for eight years. Mr. Scarbeck was affiliated with Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and a former member of the Staten Island Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn P. Scarbeck; a son, John C. Scarbeck and his wife, Susan, of Staten Island, N.Y.; two sisters, Muriel A. Brooks of Virginia Beach and Evelyn L. Foster of Ridge, N.Y.; and nine nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, by Pastor Edwin Nicklas. Burial will be private. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
