Clarence Eugene ``Gene'' Queensberry, 77, died Monday Sept. 22, 1997. He was a Newport News native and lifelong Peninsula resident.
Mr. Queensberry retired from Langley Air Force Base, civil service as an inspector in 1979 after 30 years of service. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Hampton. He was also a member of Bremond Lodge No. 241, A.F.&A.M. in Newport News and the Newport News Scottish Rite Bodies.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Guillette Queensberry; his son, Thomas Savage of West Columbia, S.C.; his aunt, Thelma L. Shank of Harrisonburg, Va.; two granddaughters, Marsha F. Wood of Williamsburg and Bonnie B. Minor of Lanexa; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today in Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home by the Rev. Nolan Crowder. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park with Masonic Rites by Bremond Lodge No. 241. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
