Mary Leggett Dawson, 76, of the 800 block of N. King St. died Tuesday Sept. 23, 1997, in Bertie Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Bertie County, a member of Siloam Baptist Church and a retired nurse.
Survivors include a son, Wayne Dawson of Colerain; two sisters, Dot L. Ward of Windsor, Margaret L. Camp of LaGrange, Ga.; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Edgewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends today at the home of Dot Ward, 1522 S. King St. Memorial gifts may be made to the Bertie County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 74, Windsor, N.C. 27983. Walker Funeral Home is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
