Mrs. Dorothy Hanson Preston, 84, a resident of Ivor, died Monday, Sept. 22, 1997, at Waverly Healthcare Center.

Mrs. Preston was born in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of the late Irving M.L. and Florence Clark Hanson. She was retired from the Northern Neck Office Equipment in Kilmarnock. She was the widow of Roy Wood Preston.

Mrs. Preston is survived by two daughters, Deborah P. Harris of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Judith P. Clarke of Heathsville; four sons, Curtis Andrew Preston of Merritt Island, Fla., Duane Irving Preston of Ivor, Keith Teddy Preston of Connecticut, Patrick Timothy Preston of Port St. Lucie; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be private. The family will receive friends at the home of Duane Preston, 10457 New Road, Ivor. Memorial donations may be made to Ivor Volunteer Rescue Squad. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
