Mable Lee, 83, of the 200 block of Webster Ave., died Sept. 20, 1997, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
She was born in Kelford, N.C., and was the widow of Charles Lee Sr. Mrs. Lee was a member of Third Baptist Church, Portsmouth, and its Loyal Workers Club, Jordan Flower Club and the Mount Hermon Club.
Survivors include four daughters, Virginia Gibson, Eunice Helm, Anna Jean (Willie Jean) Roberts, all of Portsmouth, Goldie (Willie) Scoggins of Chesapeake; a son, Charles Lee Jr. of Portsmouth; a sister, Jennie Mae Lee of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two brothers, Arthur Lee of Brooklyn, Garvie (Josephine) Lee of Aulander, N.C.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. She was predeceased by a son, Amonese Lee.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Third Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Joe B. Fleming. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m today. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Thursday. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Willie G.
