NORFOLK'S NEWEST FIRE STATION OPENS

The Norfolk Fire Department officially opened Station 1, the city's

newest and largest fire station, on Tuesday. The building, at St.

Paul's Boulevard and Wood Street, offers the latest in firefighting

technology and can provide shelter to civilians during storms. The

station cost $3.8 million.
