The Navy will also hold two local public hearings on its findings, preceded by information sessions to explain the report.

The first will be held Oct. 27 at the Virginia Beach Pavilion Convention Center Auditorium. The information session will run from 3:30 to 7 p.m. with the formal public hearing following from 7:30 to 10 p.m.

The second session will be held Oct. 28 in Chesapeake at Butts Road Intermediate School, 1571 Mount Pleasant Road. The information session will again run from 3:30 to 7 p.m. and the hearing from 7:30 to 10 p.m.

All comments received by Nov. 18 will be considered in the preparation of the final Environmental Impact Statement, which the Environmental Protection Agency will use to decide whether to permit the squadron transfer.
