James F. Wisniewski, 83, died Sept. 22, 1997, in his residence.
Born in Dedham, Mass., he had retired as a chief petty officer from the U.S. Navy and had also retired from the Department of Health, State of Virginia. He was a member of Fleet Reserve Association Branch No. 40 and Masonic Lodge, Lynchburg, Va., AF&AM. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict. He was the widower of Margaret D. Wisniewski.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda Morris; stepdaughter, Cecilia D. Carraway and her husband, William G. Carraway, of Virginia Beach; two sons, Steve Wisniewski and Paul Wisniewski; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at noon Saturday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. William Amon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Parkinson Foundation, 1501 Northwest 9th Ave., Miami, Fla. 33136. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
