She was a native of Portsmouth, a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 66 years, retired from Home Beneficial Life Insurance Co. and, upon retirement, worked for Dr. Kelford Howard.

She will be greatly missed by her sister, Martha D. Adams, and a sister-in-law, Pauline Dowdy, with whom she lived with for more than 47 years; many nieces and nephews and a host of loving, caring friends.

She was deeply devoted to her Lord and His church. Her funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Philip J. Parker with burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 3105 Elliott Ave., Portsmouth. Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, is handling the arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
