SUSAN M. PETERSEN

Susan Deborah Miller Petersen, 44, died Thursday Sept. 25, 1997, at her residence.

Mrs. Petersen was born in Buffalo, N.Y., was a registered nurse and the co-owner and operator of Susan's Hallmark of Manteo. She was a member of the Outer Banks Presbyterian Church and the Outer Banks Cancer Support Group. Mrs. Petersen was the daughter of the late Donald Miller and Betty Schnabel Miller of Buffalo, and the wife of John Petersen of the home.

Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by two sisters, Donna Miller and Linda Miller, both of Buffalo; two brothers, Kenneth Miller and Dennis Miller, also of Buffalo.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday in Outer Banks Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Spottswood Graves. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Twiford's Colony Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Outer Banks Cancer Support Group, 19 Harbourtowne Drive, Manteo, N.C. 27954. Twiford's Funeral Home, Manteo, is in charge.
