CLARENCE LASSITER JR.

Clarence ``Bogie'' Lassiter Jr. of the 900 block of Mariner St. died Sept. 25, 1997, in a local hospital.

Born in Norfolk, he was a retired longshoreman for ILA Local 1248. He was in the U.S. Army and a member of Queen Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Arlettie Lassiter; daughter, Christine Lassiter; son, Bobby Lassiter; stepson, Arthur G. Burton; sister, Bernice Bostic; brother, Charles Lassiter; seven grandchildren; an aunt; and a host of nieces, cousin, family and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Queen Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Peter Wherry. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at 910 Mariner St. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Graves Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
