FLONNIE H. ADAMS

Flonnie Irene Helton Adams, 84, of the 1500 block of Laurel Ave., died Sept. 27, 1997, in Chesapeake.

Born in Koger, Ky., Mrs. Adams was a longtime resident of Coburn, Va., and a resident of Chesapeake for the past 43 years. She was the widow of Earnest E. Adams.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty Ann Wolfe and her husband, Jim, of Chesapeake and Phyllis Lee Jones and her husband, Richard, of Sanford, N.C.; six sons, Donald H. Adams and his wife, Ruth, of Norfolk, Bill Adams and his wife, Anne, of Suffolk, E. Gerald Adams and J. Ronald Adams and his wife, Lois, of Raleigh, N.C., Bobby D. Adams of Chesapeake; and Ralph E. Adams and his wife, JoLynn, of Indianapolis, Ind.; 36 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Adams of Norfolk. She was preceded in death by a son, Frankie L. Adams.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Louis Venable. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and at the residence at all other times. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
