LOIS M. BAILEY

Lois M. Bailey, 73, departed this life on Thursday, Sept. 25, 1997, at Obici Hospital.

She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and was the daughter of the late Sadie and Herbert Pretlow.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Garland L. Bailey Sr.; two daughters, Barbara Conner of Norfolk and Ruth Gay of Wakefield; four sons, Garland Bailey Jr., Harold Pretlow of Smithfield, Royal Bailey of Oxon Hill, Md., and Ricky Johnson of Hampton; two sisters, Joan McDaniel of Dendron and Eunice Gray of Waverly; a brother, Larry Pretlow of Oxon Hill; 32 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. C. Jeffers, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Bailey Family Cemetery. Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Poole's Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Wednesday. Family and friends will assemble at 10108 Birch Island Road, Wakefield by 12:15 p.m. Wednesday. Poole's Funeral Home, Surry, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
