HAVE YOURSELF a field day. Live music returns to ODU's Foreman Field - a group called Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young last played there in 1974 - in a big way. Saturday's Fall Music Fest features R&B babes SWV and 98 Degrees from 2 to 3:30 followed by the Foo Fighters (fronted by Dave Grohl of Nirvana) and Talk Show (Stone Temple Pilots sans Scott Weiland) from 4 to 6:30. The concerts are on separate stages, which means separate admissions: $7 each. A midway with local music and concession stuff opens at noon. 441-2345.

A LITTLE BIT country? How about a whole lot country? Count on it when Alan Jackson takes the stage at Hampton Coliseum Thursday night at 7:30. The lanky Georgian has wracked up nearly two dozen No. 1 singles and sold more than 23 million albums. His latest CD, ``Everything I Love,'' followed suit, debuting at No. 1.
