Jacqueline W. Moncovich (nee White), died on Oct. 1, 1997, in Franklin Square Hospital, Baltimore, after an extended illness.
Born on Dec. 27, 1924, in Richmond, the daughter of Nicholas F. White Sr. and Pattie Hackney, she was raised and educated in Norfolk.
In 1948 she met and later married Marion E. ``Monk'' Moncovich in Norfolk on April 23, 1949. They continued to live in Norfolk for seven years. In 1955 they moved to Charlotte, N.C. where they made their home for 32 years. They were very active in that community as members of Our Lady of The Assumption Roman Catholic Church.
In 1987 they moved from Charlotte to Portsmouth where they lived until 1990. They moved to Joppatowne, Md. and enjoyed that community and their membership in Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Mrs. Moncovich later moved to Edgemere, Md. and resided at the Hosanna House until recently.
Mrs. Moncovich is preceded in death by her husband who died in 1996. She is survived by her daughter, Marion Jo Masenior of Joppa, Md., and a son, Ronald L. Moncovich of Wilmington, N.C. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Michelle Masenior, Jeremy Masenior and Matthew Moncovich. She was the special aunt of Jacquelyn D. Diener. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, Inc., Dundalk Md. from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Luke's Catholic Church, Edgemere. A committal service will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at 3 p.m. Oct. 16, 1997.
