Vernon G. Bunting Jr., 82, of the 300 block of Pinecrest Drive, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 1997 in his home.
A native of Portsmouth, he was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church and had retired from the Norfolk Naval Air Station in 1970.
Survivors include his wife, Wilhelmina B. Bunting; two sons, William V. Bunting of Richmond and J. Bryan Bunting of Charlotte, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Tom Potter. Contributions may be made to Pinecrest Baptist Church Building Fund. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
