Evelyn G. Zimba, 69, of the 500 block of Delta Court, died Oct. 4, 1997, in aChesapeake hospital.

She was born in the Bronx, New York City, and was a Lutheran.

Survivors include her husband, John P. Zimba; two daughters, Barbara Z. Johnson and her husband, Al of Smithfield, Lorraine Z. Peters and her husband, Kurt of Portland, Ore; a sister, Iris Seymour of Biloxi, Miss.; two brothers, Richard Murray of Virginia Beach and John Murray of New York City; and a granddaughter, Victoria Peters.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by Pastor Richard Browder. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
