Lubertha Platt, 61, of the 3300 block of Shasta Court, died Sept. 30, 1997, in her residence.
She was a native of Raeford, N.C., and was raised in Virginia Beach. She retired from Virginia Beach General Hospital and as an Avon representative. Lubertha was also a faithful member of New Beginnings Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Norma Parson of Flint, Mich.; a son, Jamie Platt of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Vanessa and Pernal Parson Jr.; two sisters, Donetha Diggs and Juanita White; a brother, Harry L. Platt of Virginia Beach; a son-in-law, Pernal Parson; a very special friend, Brenda Stieff; and a host of other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Clement Platt.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in The House of Prayer, Virginia Beach, and burial will be in Betty Jones Cemetery, Virginia Beach. P.G. Thomasson Funeral Services Inc. is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
