NBA WARRIORS' SMITH STRAINS KNEE BUT IT DOESN'T LOOK SERIOUS

SANTA ROSA, Calif. - Golden State Warriors forward Joe Smith strained his right knee during practice Monday, but the team said the injury did not appear serious.

Smith fell in a crowd after going up for a shot with about 45 minutes left in the morning practice, Warriors public relations director Eric McDowell said. He was on the floor for several minutes before walking off on his own.

McDowell said Smith iced the knee and trainers did not think an MRI was necessary.
