MATTIE B. WILKINS

Mattie Lee Buck Wilkins, 50, of the 800 block of E. 29th St. died Saturday, Oct. 4, 1997, in DePaul Medical Center.

She had retired as a manager for 7-Eleven and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Chesapeake.

Survivors include a son, Jeremy Malik Wilkins of Norfolk; mother, Ionia Buck of Norfolk; a sister, Minister Cynthia D. Buck; two brothers, George Cabarrus of Cape Charles and Lt. Col. Henry Buck Jr. of Huntsville, Ala.; sisters-in-law, Judith Buck and Jane Cabarrus; a niece, Kimberly Buck; three nephews, Michael Buck, Eric Williams and Deric Williams; and a very special aunt and uncle, Mariah Cabarrus and Herman Cabarrus. She was predeceased by her father, Henry Buck Sr.

A funeral will be held at noon today in Bethany Baptist Church, Campostella Road, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Jake Manley Sr. Remains will lie in repose at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. The family will receive friends at 818 E. 29th St. and will assemble there one hour before the service today. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
