Annie Laura Poole Diaz, 91, died Oct. 7, 1997.
Born in Creswell, N.C., she was the widow of Vicente V. Diaz. Mrs. Diaz was a member of Glenwood Park Baptist Church, Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Association Branch No. 60 and Ocean View Sixty Plus.
She is survived by a daughter, Laurita Sampson of Chesapeake; five grandchildren, Cherryl Barnett of Norfolk, Janet Johnson of Virginia Beach, Vincent Sampson of Grafton, Va., David and James Sampson, both of Chesapeake; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Vincent V. Diaz.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Dr. James Bradshaw. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
