Basil Luther Stearns II, 41, of the 2900 block of N. Armistead Ave., died Oct. 4, 1997, in Richmond.
Mr. Stearns was a salesman for Suffolk Used Autoparts and had been a been in the automotive business for more than 20 years. He was born in Port Lyuaty, Morocco.
He is survived by his significant other, Denise H. Whitmore of Hampton; a stepdaughter, Michelle Whitmore of Hampton; a stepson, David Whitmore of Hampton; mother, Carolyn Rae Stearns of Virginia Beach; a sister, Laura Leigh Sanders of Virginia Beach; a brother, Joel Ray Stearns of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Shawn Fleenor, Kayla Fleenor of Hampton and Elizabeth Whitmore of Gloucester. He was predeceased by his father, Basil L. Stearns.
A funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Family will receive friends from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
