THEIR VOTES

The 52-48 roll call by which the Senate refused Tuesday to limit

debate and allow a vote on a campaign finance amendment making it

harder for unions to spend members' dues on political campaigns. A

``yes'' vote was to invoke cloture.

North Carolina Lauch Faircloth (R) Yes; Jesse Helms (R) Yes.

Virginia Charles Robb (D) No; John Warner (R) Yes.

The 53-47 roll call by which the Senate refused to limit debate

and allow a vote on the campaign finance overhaul legislation

sponsored by Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Russell Feingold,

D-Wis. A ``yes'' vote was to invoke cloture.
