Gail Marilyn Hastings Meade, 53, of Ericsson St. passed away Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, in Brent-Lox Hall Nursing Home.
She was born in Johnson City, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late George and Helen Birch Hastings. Mrs. Meade was a member of the Cradock Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Meade of Canton, Ohio; a son, Robert Meade of Norfolk; and three grandchildren, Brian, Cynthia and Ryan Meade, all of Moyock, N.C.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in Cradock Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Richard W. Lovingood. Memorial donations may be made to the Makemie Woods Scholarship Fund c/o Cradock Presbyterian Church, 39 Afton Parkway, Portsmouth, Va. 23702 or to Sentara Hospice, 8 Koger Executive Center, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
