Dr. Roy D. Flood, 57, a native of Cofield, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Campbell Flood; two sons, Roy D. Flood Jr. of Fairfax, Va., and Geoffrey S. Flood of Clinton, Md.; a daughter, Stacey C. Flood of Laurel, Md.; a brother, Allen Flood Sr. of Sandspring, Md.; two sisters, Gladys Thompson of Richmond and Renee Stiff of Raleigh, N.C.; his mother, Martha Flood; and one grandchild.
Public viewing will be from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Hertford County Undertakers Chapel and will continue from 6 to 9 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Murfreesboro.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church by the Rev. Robert Richardson. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in the Flood Family Cemetery, Cofield.
