ROXYANNE WILLIAMS

Roxyanne ``Sis Roxy'' Williams, 74, of the 3000 block of Parkside Drive, died Oct. 12, 1997, in Harbour Pointe Nursing Care, Norfolk.

Born in Ahoskie, N.C., she was the widow of George A. Williams Sr.

Survivors include three daughters, Lola W. Chapman of Norfolk, Angelina W. Hopkins of Chesapeake, Carolyn B. Alston of Hampton; three sons, Elisha Williams, George A. Williams Jr., both of Virginia Beach, William C. Bryant of Winston Salem, N.C.; nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild; two sons-in-law, Johnnie E. Hopkins Sr. of Chesapeake, William Alston of Hampton. She was predeceased by her mother, Odessa Brown.

A funeral will be conducted at noon today in First Baptist Church, South Hill, 1010 Hill St., Chesapeake, by the Rev. Ernest Simmons. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family will receive visitors and friends at the Hopkins' residence, 4001 Dock Landing Road, Riverbend section, Chesapeake, at 11 a.m. for the procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Home, Norfolk, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
