Linda Ray Hollowell Hughes, 51, died Oct. 14, 1997.

She was the daughter of the late Colin Hugh and Una Baines Hollowell. She was formerly employed by QVC in Suffolk. She was a member of Cypress Chapel Christian Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Hughes of Virginia Beach; a son, Roger Nicholas Hughes of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Raymond E. Hollowell of Portsmouth and Edward H. and Charles N. Hollowell of Suffolk; five sisters, Frances H. Kelley of Suffolk, Lorraine H. Ashley of Virginia Beach, Anna H. Bangley of Lynchburg, Va., Doris H. Byrd of Suffolk and Barbara Jean Hollowell of Norfolk. She was predeceased in death by a brother, Bernard L. Hollowell.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Hill Funeral Home. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Cypress Chapel Christian Church by the Revs. John R. Kimball and Bernard Bangley.
