Elmer Encabo Sanchez, 26, of the 100 block of Riverside Drive, died Oct. 17, 1997.
Born in Manila, Philippines, he was a cook at Burger King. He was a member of First Emmanuel Baptist Church of Norfolk and Las Pinas Association of Virginia.
He is survived by his mother, Virginia E. Sanchez; father, Jesus L. Sanchez; five sisters, Gloria Fajardo of Portsmouth and Achie Bermejo, Vilma Sia, Cristy Medina and Annie Lugtu, all of the Philippines; and a brother, Edwin Sanchez of Portsmouth.
The family will be at Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, to receive friends from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Following visitation, the body will be sent to the Philippines for service and burial. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
