ODELL B. NIXON

Odell Britt Nixon, 80, of the 1000 block of Old Myrtle Road, died Oct. 18, 1997, in Obici Hospital, Suffolk.

Mrs. Nixon was born in Southampton County, the daughter of the late Luther and Garrie Ferguson Britt. She was the widow of Ellis Julian Nixon and was predeceased by her daughter, Lana Geraldine Snow. Mrs. Nixon, a retired registered nurse, was a 1938 graduate of the Norfolk General Hospital School of Nursing and was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church.

She is survived by two grandchildren.

The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Southampton Memorial Park, Franklin, by the Rev. David M. Jendrey. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
