Charles W. Abbott, 70, of the 100 block of Armstrong St. died Oct. 17, 1997, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
He was a retired supervisor of the U.S. Postal Service, a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Celestial Lodge No. 2 of Masons.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Abbott; a daughter, Kathy Abbott; and three sons, Charles R. Abbott, William C. Abbott and the Rev. Hardy Abbott Sr.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 2153 Kempsville Road, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. William D. Scott. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
