Emily Virginia McClanan, 90, died Sept. 25, 1997, in her residence.
She was born May 29, 1907, in Norfolk, the daughter of William W. McClanan and Ora Land McClanan. Ms. McClanan was a retired payroll supervisor for Knox Gelatin, now known as the Lipton Tea Co. She was a member of the Virginia Beach United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her niece, Susan Boatwright of Charlotte, N.C.; and her nephew, William W. McClanan III of Virginia Beach.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Virginia Beach United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to VNA Hospice, 1111 36th St., Vero Beach, Fla. 32960. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
