MARY J. SMALLWOOD

Mary J. Smallwood of the 1000 block of Bainbridge Blvd. died Oct. 19, 1997, in Oak Tree Point Nursing Home.

Born in North Carolina, she was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mark's U.C.C., the Nurses Board, the Usher Board, United Order of Eastern Star and United Order of Tents. She was the widow of Levy Smallwood.

Survivors include her sister, Macy Maurice of Norfolk; a brother, Garland Moss of Chesapeake; a special nephew, Travis Moss; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Mark's U.C.C. by the Rev. Thomas Hart. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
