Alberta Charlotte Wilcox, 73, died Oct. 18, 1997.

Born in Norfolk, she was the widow of Mack R. Wilcox Sr. and a Protestant.

Survivors include her daughter, Peggy W. Peters and her husband, Sam, of Atlanta, Ga.; two sons, Mark Allen Wilcox and his wife, Lee, of Hampton and Mack R. Wilcox Jr. and his wife, Judy, of Sarasota, Fla.; a half-sister, Memorie Lee Hall of Donald, S.C.; a brother, Frank Roper and his wife, Sharon Lee, of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Melissa Tant of Atlanta, Mark A. Wilcox Jr. of Hampton and Nathan Peters of Atlanta; and a sister-in-law, Marjorie Roper of Virginia Beach.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Andrew MacBeth. Burial will be private.
