A brief in the Hampton Roads section of Saturday's paper listed

an incorrect date for a community meeting to discuss the East

Washington Street Improvement Project and the Finney Avenue

Connector Project in Suffolk.

The meeting will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Metropolitan

Baptist Church, 125 County St.

A contest to design the Hampton Roads flag is open to high school

students in area cities, including Portsmouth. That city was was

inadvertently omitted from a column Monday in the Hampton Roads

section.

In the gubernatorial candidates' response to an education

question Monday, the statement by James S. Gilmore III was

incomplete. The last line should have said: ``I will also implement

a New Century Scholars program to award $2,000 merit-based college

scholarships to Virginia's top students to reduce the cost of

tuition.''
