GUNMAN TAKES CASH AND TWO PIZZAS FROM SUFFOLK DELIVERY MAN

A pizza delivery man was robbed at gunpoint while delivering an order in the 2500 block of E. Washington St.

A gunman approached the 18-year-old driver for Chanello's Pizza about 12:35 a.m. Sunday and demanded money, police said.

When the victim attempted to struggle, the suspect hit him in the back of the head with the handgun, then fled with money, two pizzas and the warmer bag, police said.

Police later recovered the bag.

The suspect was described as black, about 18 to 22, with a medium build, short black hair, brown eyes, dark complexion and a thin mustache. He was wearing a cap and a blue jacket, and spoke in an angry, nervous tone. KEYWORDS: ROBBERIES
