Linwood Hill Bazemore, 84, of Virginia Beach, died October 21, 1997, in Bay Pointe Medical Center.
Mr. Bazemore was a native of Bertie County, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Clementh Hill Bazemore and Bettie Hewitt Bazemore. He worked at Monsanto Chemical Company and retired from the Norfolk Coca-Cola Bottling Works. After his retirement, he worked part time at Double ``J'' Motors. He was a member of the Thalia Lynn Baptist Church in Virginia Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Pritchard Bazemore; a daughter, Jean B. Simpkins and her husband, Jerry Howard Simpkins of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Margarit Truitt of Portsmouth, Annie Minton of Suffolk and Myrtle Ward of Windsor, N.C.; two grandchildren, Russell Lee Simpkins and his wife, Christine Simpkins of Virginia Beach, and Donna Lynn Simpkins of Virginia Beach; and a great-grandchild, Tyler Linwood Simpkins.
A chapel service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, by Dr. Mark Olson. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Friday evening from 7:30 to 9 p.m. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
