Brian Robert Ruzzi, 20, died Oct. 22, 1997, as a result of an automobile accident in Roanoke, Va.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a junior at Ferrum College. He was a 1995 graduate of First Colonial High School where he played varsity sports including baseball and football. He was a member of the golf team at Ferrum College.
Survivors include his parents, Linda Ruzzi and Joseph Ruzzi, both of Virginia Beach; a brother, Joseph Ruzzi of Virginia Beach; two uncles, Robert Ruzzi and Steven Taubman, both of Virginia Beach; an aunt, Nina Taubman of Virginia Beach; three cousins, Adam Taubman and Tara Taubman, both of Virginia Beach, and Bobby Lee Ruzzi of Coconut Creek, Fla. He will be dearly missed by a host of friends and family.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday in Star of the Sea Catholic Church by Father James E. Dorson. Burial will be in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 9 p.m. today and Sunday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel. A wake service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
